We stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim South during a trip to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Honda Center and to spend a day at Disneyland Park. While the hotel isn’t right next to the parks, it offered a comfortable and spacious base for our family.
An Uber or Lyft ride to Disneyland cost about $10, which balanced out the savings of staying slightly further away. For us, visiting the park only once, the location was perfectly manageable. Overall, it was a nice stay, with plenty of space and family-friendly amenities.
Two-Room Suite Setup: Space over polish
The highlight of Embassy Suites is the two-room suite layout. Having a separate living room with a sofa, bar area, and extra seating made the stay much more comfortable than a standard hotel room.
While the hotel itself isn’t the most polished or luxurious, the space was invaluable for a family trip. Sometimes, having room to spread out matters more than high-end finishes, and this setup worked perfectly for us.

Location & Transport
The hotel is located in Garden Grove, a short drive from Disneyland and the Honda Center. While not within walking distance of the parks, the $10 Uber/Lyft rides made it easy to get around without breaking the budget.
For families looking to save compared to on-site Disney hotels, this location offers a good balance of cost and convenience. It’s not the most central, but for our itinerary — one concert and one Disney day — it worked well.

Pool & Jacuzzi
We enjoyed the swimming pool and especially the - very hot! - jacuzzi, which was a welcome way to unwind after busy days. The pool area was clean and family-friendly, with plenty of space to relax.
It wasn’t overcrowded during our stay, and the facilities added a nice touch of leisure to the trip.

Breakfast & Evening Reception: Complimentary but limited
Breakfast was complimentary, which is always appreciated, though the quality wasn’t outstanding. Still, it provided a quick and easy start to the day, especially when traveling with kids.
The hotel also offered an evening reception, with limited snack options and a maximum of two alcoholic drinks per person. It wasn’t a full dinner replacement, but it was a nice extra perk to have included.
Gym & Fitness
The gym was small compared to the size of the hotel, but it was clean and functional. I visited early in the mornings and never found it crowded. It had the basics — treadmills, weights, and cardio machines — enough to keep up with a routine while traveling.

Embassy Suites Anaheim South isn’t the most polished or luxurious hotel, but it delivers where it matters for families: space, convenience, and value. The two-room suites made our stay comfortable, the pool and jacuzzi added relaxation, and the complimentary breakfast and evening reception were useful extras.
The location requires rideshares to Disneyland, but at around $10 per trip, it’s a fair trade-off for lower rates compared to on-site Disney hotels. For families who prioritize space and practicality over luxury, this hotel is a solid choice in Anaheim.
